# Method:
01 - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
02 - In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
03 - Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
04 - Fold the diced apples into the batter carefully to distribute evenly.
05 - Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
06 - Drop heaping tablespoons of batter into the hot oil, frying 3 to 4 fritters at a time for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
07 - Use a slotted spoon to remove fritters and drain them on paper towels.
08 - Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth to create the glaze.
09 - While still warm, dip each fritter into the glaze or drizzle the glaze over the top.
