- Decorations: 1 small carrot, peeled, 1 yellow bell pepper, 1/2 cucumber, 6 cherry tomatoes, Edible flowers (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Pastry:
- Roll out the puff pastry to about 0.5 cm thickness and cut out 20 flower shapes using flower-shaped cookie cutters.
- Egg Wash:
- Place pastry flowers on baking sheet and brush lightly with beaten egg.
- Bake:
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden and puffed, then let cool completely.
- Mix Filling:
- Mix cream cheese, chives, lemon zest, salt and pepper until smooth.
- Prepare Decorations:
- Slice carrot, cucumber and bell pepper into thin rounds and decorative shapes; halve cherry tomatoes.
- Assemble:
- Spread cream cheese mixture on cooled pastries and decorate with sliced vegetables and edible flowers.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
